Use your technical expertise on the most innovative projects worldwide!
Whether you're designing water installations for a greenhouse in the Westland or a project in the Texas desert, you ensure every detail is perfect. Will you help build our next project?
What you'll be doing:
As a Project Engineer Water Technology, you’ll detail all water installations for our projects. Our Sales Engineer drafts the initial project setup. Based on the technical contract, you take over. You determine where all water installations will be located and design them down to the smallest detail. From drip irrigation and ebb and flow systems to misting systems and NFT systems—you take care of it all. Not only will you design the water systems inside the greenhouse, but you’ll also optimize the design of the entire water technical room, including silos, water units, and valves. All installations are designed in both 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (HiCAD).

In addition to creating the designs, you’ll handle project preparation. This means you’re fully responsible for the water installations in your projects. Exciting, right?! You’ll coordinate with suppliers, procure materials, create construction drawings for the assembly teams, and ensure everything is delivered on time and within budget to the construction site. Thanks to your sharp organizational skills and attention to detail, every project runs smoothly. For turnkey projects, you’ll collaborate closely with Project Engineers from other disciplines, such as electrical engineering, construction engineering, and climate technology. At least once a week, you’ll sit down with the project team, giving you valuable insights into other specializations. You’ll also visit every project site at least once to verify that your designs are correctly implemented and to gain experience!
As a Project Engineer, you’ll also create flow diagrams, named P&IDs, showing how all irrigation pipes connect within the project. Additionally, you’ll draft approval drawings (in 2D) with cross-sections of your water installations, ensuring approval from the Project Manager and other Project Engineers. This ensures your designs fit seamlessly into the overall project. Alongside the variety of tasks, you’ll often work on one to three projects simultaneously, depending on their scale. In short, as a Project Engineer Water Technology, you’ll have a dynamic and challenging role!
