What you'll be doing:

As an intern on our R&D team, you'll be involved in developing new innovative technologies and concepts. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact in the world of cultivation systems. Think about projects like Artemy, our harvest robot, JSK, our custom cooling system, and even Thevi, our crop predictor! During your internship at Certhon, you'll be working on projects that are changing the future of horticulture. Exciting, right?

At our Certhon Innovation Center, we test new technologies for cultivation development in controlled environments. From tomatoes and cucumbers to orchids – we research it all! You'll have the chance to work on innovative technologies related to climate control, lighting, and cultivation systems. One of the projects you may contribute to is developing a system to monitor crop growth using cameras and computer vision. This involves extracting key features such as stem thickness, fruit count, ripeness, and flowering. As an intern, you'll have the chance to help build the software needed for this.

Who are you?

You're studying Mechanical Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field at the university or higher professional education level;
You're looking for a research internship lasting 3 to 6 months;
You can work independently and are passionate about innovations in the horticulture industry;
You're eager to learn, love problem-solving, and want to contribute to our mission: Growing anything, anywhere. For everyone!
