Project Engineer Climate Technology
Become our new Project Engineer Climate Technology!
We usually respond within a week
Put your technical expertise to work on the most innovative projects worldwide! Whether it's designing climate installations for greenhouses in the Westland or pioneering projects in China, your expertise will play a crucial role in creating the ideal environment for sustainable cultivation. Are you ready to contribute to groundbreaking projects?
What you'll be doing:
As a Project Engineer Climate Technology, you will work out and oversee the development of climate installations for various projects, ensuring every detail is carefully planned and executed. After receiving the initial project draft from our calculation team, you will dive into the specifics. Your responsibility will be to determine the placement of climate systems and detail these designs in both 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (HiCAD). This includes installations for heating, cooling, and air conditioning, all tailored to optimize cultivation conditions.
You will also take charge of the project’s work preparation. This involves close collaboration with suppliers, procurement of materials, creating construction drawings for assembly teams, communicating with contractors and executors, and ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery. Your attention to detail and your organizational skills will ensure every project runs smoothly. You will be the go-to person for all aspects of climate installations in your projects. Cool, right!?

In turnkey projects, you’ll collaborate closely with Project Engineers from other disciplines, such as electrical, construction, and water technology. You’ll join the project team at least once a week, gaining valuable insights from other areas of expertise. Additionally, you’ll regularly exchange ideas with our climate specialist, allowing you to continuously expand your knowledge. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the project sites, ensuring that your designs are implemented as planned while learning from real-world application.
As a Project Engineer for Climate Technology, you’ll also create approval drawings in 2D, including all cross-sections of your climate installations. These drawings are key to aligning the Project Manager, customer, and other Project Engineers on the final design for the contract. In the early stages of the project, the Calculation department provides rough estimates, which you’ll further develop as a project engineer. For example, you’ll calculate heat demand, pumps, and cooling systems. With the variety of tasks, you’ll manage one to three projects at a time, depending on their scale. The exciting part of your role is that Certhon is often called upon to tackle complex and unique projects—ranging from highly advanced climate cells with precise measurements to classic climate installations in challenging environments. In short, as a Project Engineer Climate Technology, your role will be diverse, challenging, and impactful!
