What you'll be doing:
As a Sales Consultant, you're responsible for developing and following up on leads. You know how to translate our cutting-edge technology into sales results. You’ll be part of our sales team, which includes New Business Developers, Sales Consultants, Technical Specialists, and Sales Engineers. As a Sales Consultant, you’re the key link in the team. Our Business Developers are identifying new opportunities. Once a lead is qualified, they hand it over to you. From that moment on, you take the lead in the sales process. You’ll sit down with the client, listen to their ideas, and translate them into concrete plans.

You're also a valuable technical sparring partner for the clients. You'll bring in support from our in-house Technical Specialists. After on-site visits and several meetings with the client, you'll translate the client's needs to the estimating department, and they'll turn it into a tailored, high-quality proposal. In the meantime, you continue to build relationships with our clients. Once the proposal is ready, it’s back to you — time to present the offer and, of course, close the deal.
What's makes this role interesting? You'll work on unique projects. Our portfolio includes high-tech greenhouses and indoor farms featuring the most advanced technologies. It’s no coincidence that we are the world’s leading innovator in greenhouse construction! As a Sales Consultant this requires both commercial and technical expertise. Our clients range from growers to investors and are located all over the world - from the Netherlands to Australia. This requires understanding your audience and excellent communication skills. In short, a challenging and varied role!
Who are you?
- You have a commercial background with at least 2 years of relevant work experience;
- You possess technical knowledge, and the horticultural sector is familiar to you. Knowledge of horticultural technology is a plus;
- You are results-driven, have a hands-on mentality, and strong persuasive skills;
- You’re passionate about translating complex technical challenges into sales strategies;
- You are commercially minded, creative, and capable of thinking outside the box;
- You are internationally oriented, and with your flexible mindset, traveling is no issue – on average, a few days twice a month;
- You have excellent proficiency in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
